About Me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York.  In 2009, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. John’s University. Upon completion of my Bachelor’s Degree, I began working as an assistant counselor at an inpatient psychiatric hospital providing individual counseling, group counseling, and crisis interventions to children and adolescents. I later went on to receive my Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from St. John’s University in 2013.

I have spent my career working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of clinical settings. Prior experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient mental health clinic setting providing crisis intervention, individual, family, and group counseling.

Not only do I possess years of hands on experience in the field, I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).  My training enables me to assist individuals in understanding their personal journeys’ by providing them with the coping mechanisms needed to practice mindfulness, regulate emotions, accept reality, and tolerate anxiety-provoking stressors.
